Jamaican Boa

The Jamaican Boa, Epicrates/Chilobathrus subflavus, is still threatened with extinction in Jamaica, and its conservation status remains defined as vulnerable. The well known conservationist Gerald Durrell took 7 pairs in 1976, and since then the Jamaican Boa, or yellow snake as it is sometimes known, has become a little more established both in zoos and in private collections.

We obtained 2.1 from Martin Sondergard at the end of 2014.
